Free economic zones of Kyrgyzstan: benefits and who they suit
Kyrgyzstan's FEZs (“Bishkek”, “Naryn”, “Karakol”, “Lebedinovka”, “Maimak”): tax exemptions, customs regime, conditions for manufacturing and export.
Short answer: Kyrgyzstan has five free economic zones (FEZ): “Bishkek”, “Naryn”, “Karakol”, “Lebedinovka” and “Maimak”. Residents get exemption from most taxes, customs benefits and simplified export. FEZs suit manufacturing and export-oriented trade — but not services or IT, which are better served by the High-Tech Park.
What FEZ residency gives
- exemption from profit tax, VAT and sales tax within the zone;
- customs benefits on imported raw materials and equipment;
- fixed fees for land and infrastructure;
- simplified export of finished products.
Who it suits
Manufacturing companies: textiles, food processing, assembly. For trading without production and for services, FEZs are usually not cost-effective — the single tax or the High-Tech Park works better.
We will help you assess whether you need an FEZ and arrange residency: consultation.
